EA Play provided some new insights into what DICE and EA have planned for Battlefield 5. Later this month, on June 27, Chapter 4: Defying the Odds will add six new multiplayer maps. Then later in the fall, Chapter 5 will bring Battlefield 5 back to the Pacific.
The Battlefield franchise has been to the Pacific before, and the short teaser that was shown at EA Play brought back many memories for veteran players. DICE’s Lars Gustavsson revealed that the familiar “ping” sound made by the M1 Garand was featured prominently on purpose. Players can expect to revisit many locations and use many familiar weapons later this year.
Alongside all the new content, players will be able to progress further than ever, with the level cap being raised from 50 to 500. Now is also an ideal time for newcomers to jump into Battlefield 5 as it is now part of Origin Access and available for subscribers of that service.
Lots of new content is coming to Battlefield 5. Check out the official roadmap for all the details and stay tuned to our E3 2019 coverage, and you won’t miss a thing.
