Fans eager to get their hands on Battlefield 2042 will have a chance to do so early during the upcoming technical playtest. According to a report from VGC, the Battlefield 2042 technical playtest will begin next week and will consist of six testing sessions. The VGC report also revealed the recommended PC system requirements for the Battlefield 2042 technical playtest, which you can find below.
Battlefield 2042 Technical Playtest Dates
The Battlefield 2042 technical playtest starts on August 12 and runs through August 15. The closed playtest will consist of six separate sessions, according to VGC. Initially planned for July, the technical playtests were rescheduled to allow the developers to adequately test the game’s cross-play feature. As such, the technical playtests will be held on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Those interested in participating in the Battlefield 2042 technical playtests can sign up to become a playtester on the EA Playtesting website. Signing up does not guarantee access to the playtest, however.
Players who miss out on this round of testing can look forward to the upcoming Battlefield 2042 open beta instead, which is scheduled to take place in September. Pre-ordering the game will grant early access to the open beta.
