Today, developers from Larian Studios hosted the second Panel From Hell livestream on Twitch. During the stream, the developers revealed Patch 4: Nature’s Power, the fourth patch update for Baldur’s Gate 3. The update will introduce Druids to the game, a new playable class that comes with a multitude of spells and abilities. You can watch the official trailer for the Druid class as well as the full Panel From Hell 2 livestream VOD below.
Baldur’s Gate 3 – Druids
Patch 4 is Baldur’s Gate 3’s largest patch to date since releasing in early access in October 2020. The main feature of this patch is the introduction of the Druid class as a new playable class in Baldur’s Gate 3. The game will feature new dialogue and voice-overs for the Druid class, along with new rewards, story moments, and interactions uniquely for Druid players to enjoy during Act 1. One such interaction happens in the Druid’s Grove, but we will leave that for you to discover.
Those familiar with D&D will know that the Druid class has the power to shape-shift and transform into various animals. Wild Shape is among more than 30 spells and abilities that will be available to Druids. Eight shapes will be available to Druids in Baldur’s Gate 3: Badger, Cat, Deep Rothé, Raven, Dire Wolf, Spider, Polar Bear, and Aberrant. Of course, be prepared for NPCs to react to the form you choose to take.
Aside from the new Druid class, the Nature’s Power update will also include a number of gameplay changes based on community feedback during early access. Some of the major changes include optional loaded dice, improved cinematics, better multiplayer tools, and various quality of life adjustments.
Baldur’s Gate 3’s upcoming Patch 4 will arrive “when it’s ready,” so keep an eye out for patch notes ahead of release. Until then, stay tuned to Guide Stash for more Baldur’s Gate 3 news and updates.
