Baldur’s Gate 3 Launches on PS5 and PC in August

Larian’s upcoming RPG will also feature split-screen co-op, online multiplayer, and full controller support.

Today during Sony’s State of Play event, developer Larian Studios announced the official release date for Baldur’s Gate 3 with a new gameplay trailer, which you can watch below. The trailer offers a look at a character named General Ketheric Thorm, who is voiced by the talented J.K. Simmons.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Release Date Trailer

Baldur’s Gate 3 is scheduled to release on August 31, 2023 for PlayStation 5, PC, and Mac. In true Larian fashion, the game will also include split-screen co-op for two players alongside online multiplayer support for up to four players. The trailer includes a brief glimpse at the game’s controller support features as well.

There are multiple editions of Baldur’s Gate 3 available for pre-order. Those who pre-order either the Digital Deluxe Edition or the Collector’s Edition will be able to play Act 1 three days early on August 28. Both editions also include a special pack of in-game items inspire by Larian’s previous title, Divinity: Original Sin II.
