Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Next Expansion Brings Back Infiltration Missions

The Siege of Paris soundtrack will also release alongside the expansion next month.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is getting its second expansion next month, according to an announcement on Monday from Ubisoft Montreal. The Siege of Paris expansion sends Eivor on new missions across Francia, where players will battle new types of enemies and earn new weapons and gear.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Siege of Paris Release Date

The Siege of Paris expansion releases on August 12, 2021 and will be available for free to those who own the season pass. The expansion will also be sold separately for $34.99 and requires the base game to purchase.

The Siege of Paris expansion also marks the return of Infiltration Missions in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. These missions are essentially the same as the Black Box Missions from Assassin’s Creed Unity. Infiltration Missions task players with eliminating a target with designated criteria. Players are free to choose how to go about taking down their targets, allowing players to truly test their assassination skills.

Alongside the upcoming expansion, Valhalla players can also look forward to celebrating the beginning of Raiding season during the Sigrblot Festival, which begins on July 29 and runs until August 19. Festival activities include a fighting tournament and dice game mini-games. Three new quests offering exclusive rewards will also be available during the limited-time event, including the one-handed sword Skrofnung, which can be obtained through the festival shop.

Another update is planned for later in the season that will bring the new River Raids map pack to Valhalla, according to Ubisoft. Stay tuned for more Valhalla news and updates.
