Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to Release a Week Earlier in November

The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla release date has changed to coincide with the launch of Xbox Series X.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is now arriving a week early, according to an announcement today from Ubisoft. Originally scheduled for November 17, Valhalla will now release on November 10, 2020. The release date was changed to coincide with the launch of the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles, which are both releasing on the same day.

“We are excited to announce that players will be able to discover Assassin’s Creed Valhalla sooner than expected!” said Julien Laferrière, Producer on Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. “We cannot wait to see the world we’ve been creating over the past three years coming to life on all platforms, including on the next generation of consoles with the Xbox Series X/S on November 10.”

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be a launch title for the Xbox Series X/S consoles, alongside Watch Dogs: Legion. Valhalla will run in 4K resolution at 60 FPS on the Xbox Series X. Check out the trailer below for a look at gameplay captured on Xbox Series X. Valhalla will also utilize the Direct Storage feature of both consoles. This will make for faster load times and smoother transitions.

On November 10, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will release for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and PC via Epic Games Store and UPlay+. Although we have yet to be informed of the PlayStation 5 release date, Valhalla will be available for PS5 upon the console’s launch. Stay tuned for more Assassin’s Creed Valhalla news and updates.
