Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Release Date Announced

Customize your combat tactics, raid enemy villages, and build your settlement in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla later this year.

Assassin’s Creed fans were treated to brand new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay during the Ubisoft Forward presentation on Sunday. During the showcase, Ubisoft revealed the release date for Valhalla, which will be coming to consoles and PC later this year.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Release Date

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will release on Tuesday, November 17, 2020. The game will arrive on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Stadia and PC via the Ubisoft Store and Epic Games Store. Valhalla will also be available for Ubisoft’s UPLAY+ subscription service.

The Ubisoft Forward digital conference featured brand new gameplay for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The gameplay offers a first-look at Valhalla’s brutal combat and raids. Eivor, the main protagonist and player character, has an assortment of combat maneuvers available. The gameplay shows a bit of Valhalla’s new stun mechanic, which allows Eivor to temporarily disable foes and perform stun attacks. Eivor can also dual-wield both weapons and shields for unique combat maneuvers that reflect the player’s play style.

Customize Your Experience

Customization is also a large part of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Players will be able to customize Eivor’s appearance, from weapons and gear to hair, tattoos, and war paint. Players can swap between male or female Eivor at any time. You are also tasked with upgrading your settlement using resources you gathered during raids and exploration. Growing your settlement will grant you access to new tools, upgrades, and even new settlers.

Luckily, there are several options to choose from for those who can’t decide which platform to get the game on. Aside from current-gen consoles, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will also release for the Xbox Series X and PS5 consoles as well when the systems become available. Those who purchase the game on current Xbox One or PS4 consoles will have the option to upgrade their game to the next-gen version within the same console family entirely for free.

Pre-orders for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla are now live for both physical and digital versions of the game. You can learn more about the Collector’s Edition and other available editions on the official website. Stay tuned for more Assassin’s Creed Valhalla updates!
