Open-world Viking adventure Assassin’s Creed Valhalla released today for PC and consoles. Ubisoft has released a new launch trailer for the game, which you can watch in the video below.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Launch Trailer

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was originally scheduled to release on November 17. In September, Ubisoft announced that the game’s release date was changed to coincide with the launch of the Xbox Series X console.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is an open-world RPG set mainly in ninth-century England. Players take on the role of Eivor, a fierce Viking raider turned warrior. The unforgiving climate of Norway pushes your clan to find a new home in England. Much of your time will be spent building your new settlement, conducting raids, and exploring the farmlands of England.

Ubisoft recently gave fans a preview of the post-launch seasonal content coming to Valhalla, including a look at two of the game’s upcoming expansions and a special Beowulf quest. Although Valhalla will also feature free seasonal content for all players, the game’s first season won’t begin until December. Season 1 will include a slew of fresh content, including a new settlement area, the River Raids game mode, and player customizations. The Yule Festival will also begin in-game in December, so be sure to get your Viking settlement ready for the festivities.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available now for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PC, and Stadia. Valhalla will also release for PlayStation 5 later this week when the console launches on November 12, 2020.
