Assassin’s Creed Mirage Release Date and Gameplay Revealed

The next installment to Ubisoft’s stealth action franchise will arrive this fall.

The official release date for Assassin’s Creed Mirage was revealed during the PlayStation Showcase on Wednesday, confirming a fall release for the upcoming stealth adventure. The release date was revealed as part of a new gameplay trailer showing the game’s protagonist, Basim, in action.

The upcoming installment to the Assassin’s Creed series puts players in the shoes of Basim, a street thief from Baghdad whose life takes a turn after he discovers an ancient organization known as The Hidden Ones. The game is said to be returning to the roots of the franchise and is a “tribute to an original,” according to the official website. “Journey to Alamut, the legendary home of the Assassins who laid the foundations of the Creed in this heartfelt homage to the game that started it all.”

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will release for PC as well as PlayStation and Xbox consoles on October 12, 2023. Pre-orders are now available on the Ubisoft Store for the standard and deluxe editions of the game. Those who pre-order will receive a bonus quest titled “The Forty Thieves!” The deluxe edition comes with a Deluxe Pack of DLC inspired by Prince of Persia that includes an in-game outfit, weapons, eagle and mount skins, and more. Deluxe edition holders also receive a digital artbook and soundtrack for Mirage.
