Ubisoft has brought one of its most successful series to the Nintendo Switch. Now you can play Assassin’s Creed III Remastered anywhere you go.
Assassin’s Creed III Remastered
Assassin’s Creed III originally released October 30, 2012, and continues the adventure of Desmond Miles as he uses the Animus to relive the lives of his ancestors. Players take on the role of Connor, who is half-English, half-Mohawk, in 18th century America during the American Revolution. And now, some seven years later, players have the opportunity to slip back into the shoes of Desmond and experience the freedom of Assassin’s Creed through the freedom of the Nintendo Switch.
As the third entry in the series, Assassin’s Creed III introduced several gameplay ideas such as wilderness stealth and free-running across trees. These features can be found throughout the series since Connor was introduced.
Assassin’s Creed III isn’t the only game players will be able to play. Included with the Remastered version is The Tyranny of King Washington DLC where George Washington seizes absolute power.
Along with Assassin’s Creed III Remastered, players will also get Assassin’s Creed Liberation Remastered. This spin-off focuses on 18th century New Orleans and Chichen Itza with players controlling the French-African Assassin, Aveline de Granpre. Aveline helped liberate slaves and blended into high society to fight the Templar Knights.
Ubisoft has jam-packed this double offering with new features and functionality just for the Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch version has motion-control aiming, HUD optimization for the handheld screen, a touchscreen interface, and HD rumble.
Assassin’s Creed is a long-standing series in the Ubisoft lineup that has seen a lot of success since its debut in 2007. Despite the ups and downs, Ubisoft continues to expand the Assassin’s Creed universe through a movie and several graphic novels.
Assassin’s Creed III Remastered is available not only the Nintendo Switch, but for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
