On Wednesday, Ubisoft announced their plans to revamp their ecosystem of player services with Ubisoft Connect, a new universal interface that allows players from all platforms to access Ubisoft’s content lineup. Ubisoft’s Uplay and Ubisoft Club services will be reworked and incorporated into the new system, which becomes available later this month.
Through Ubisoft Connect, players can access all of Ubisoft’s in-game services regardless of the platform they’re using. The feature can be accessed via an in-game overlay in Ubisoft’s most recent games. The new interface allows users from various platforms to enjoy unique in-game features, events, and activities, not just players on PC. Since Ubisoft’s current loyalty program, Ubisoft Club, is being phased out to make room for Ubisoft Connect, the publisher has unlocked over 1,000 legacy Ubisoft Club rewards, making them free to all players.
“A decade ago, Ubisoft was one of the first publishers to enhance players’ experience with more services and social features. We wanted to build upon this legacy to fulfill Ubisoft’s vision of a global community and bring these benefits to all our players,” says Charles Huteau, Creative Director on Ubisoft Connect.

The Ubisoft Connect interface will also allow for cross-platform progression in some of Ubisoft’s upcoming titles, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Immortals Fenyx Rising. “Ubisoft Connect is our take on a new seamless experience to not only ease the transition between generations and platforms, but also be the starting point for new services that further contribute to new, more player-centric ways of enjoying games,” says Stephanie Perotti, Ubisoft’s Vice-President of Online Services.
Ubisoft Connect will launch on October 29, 2020, alongside Watch Dogs: Legion. Players can access the new service via desktop and mobile app, as well as directly in-game. You do need to login with your Ubisoft account, however. You can find out more on the official Ubisoft Connect website. Stay tuned for more news and updates.
