Ubisoft Announces Closed Test for Co-Op Shooter Codenamed ‘Project U’

Registration for the closed playtest is now available for those interested in trying out the upcoming co-op shooter.

On Friday, Ubisoft quietly revealed that they have a mysterious new co-op shooter currently in development, codenamed Project U. Registration for the Project U closed playtest is now available on the Ubisoft website for players in select regions who are interested in testing out the upcoming game.

“We have been exploring a new concept of session-based co-op shooter, where many players unite to prevail against an overwhelming threat!” says the Project U registration page. Nothing else has been revealed about the game, other than some character artwork (shown above).

According to Ubisoft, Project U is currently in early development and registration is open for the closed playtest. However, the first PC-only closed test will only be available in English to registrants in certain parts of Western Europe.
