On Friday, Ubisoft quietly revealed that they have a mysterious new co-op shooter currently in development, codenamed Project U. Registration for the Project U closed playtest is now available on the Ubisoft website for players in select regions who are interested in testing out the upcoming game.
“We have been exploring a new concept of session-based co-op shooter, where many players unite to prevail against an overwhelming threat!” says the Project U registration page. Nothing else has been revealed about the game, other than some character artwork (shown above).
According to Ubisoft, Project U is currently in early development and registration is open for the closed playtest. However, the first PC-only closed test will only be available in English to registrants in certain parts of Western Europe.
We will be sure to keep you informed of any new information about Project U, so check back here for updates. You can also check out the Project U FAQ on the closed test registration page for more details.
