PlayStation VR2 is scheduled to release next February, Sony announced today on the PlayStation Blog. Pre-orders for the PS VR2 headset, sense controller charging station, and games will go live later this month.
PlayStation VR2 will officially release on February 22, 2023 for $550 USD. The price includes the PS VR2 headset, sense controllers, and stereo headphones. A special Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle will also be available for $600 USD and will include a digital voucher code for Horizon Call of the Mountain along with the previously mentioned bundle items. The exclusive sense controller charging station will be available as a separate purchase for $50 USD.
Sony is expecting to release over 20 PS VR2 games at launch and have revealed several more titles coming to the system on the PlayStation Blog, including Hello Neighbor: Search and Rescue and The Dark Pictures: Switchback VR. Other standalone PS VR2 games will be available for pre-order later this month.
“We’ve created the PS VR2 headset with comfort in mind, in a slightly slimmer and lighter design compared to our previous headset,” said Isabelle Tomatis, Vice President at Sony Interactive Entertainment. “We’ve also included an integrated vent for extra air flow, and a lens adjustment dial for a more customized feel. We hope players will enjoy this new design.”
