PlayStation State of Play October 2021 Trailer Recap

Here’s a list of every trailer and announcement from Sony’s PlayStation State of Play showcase for October.

Sony’s latest PlayStation State of Play showcase aired earlier today, giving PlayStation users plenty to look forward to in the months ahead. The roughly 20-minute presentation featured an assortment of new trailers for games coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, as well as a huge announcement for Bugsnax fans. We’ve gathered up each trailer from today’s State of Play below. Deathverse: Let It Die

October’s State of Play showcase opened with a trailer for Deathverse: Let It Die, an upcoming multiplayer survival game coming to PS4 and PS5. The game takes place on the set of a reality game show set in the world of Let It Die. The game is expected to launch in Spring 2022.

Bugsnax: The Isle of BIGsnax Free Update

Today’s State of Play featured the reveal of Bugsnax: The Isle of BIGsnax, a free update coming to Bugsnax in 2022. The Isle of BIGsnax update will add a new island biome to the game that features a dozen new Bugsnax to capture. The update will also include over 100 challenges, 30 new quests, and nearly 200 decorations.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach Gameplay Reveal

A new Five Nights at Freddy’s game is headed to PS4 and PS5 later this year. In Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach, players must avoid being detected by skulking animatronics while stuck inside Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex. The survival horror game will release on December 16.

Death’s Door Coming to PlayStation

Acclaimed action-adventure RPG Death’s Door will make its way to PlayStation consoles next month. Get ready to explore the game with PS5’s haptic feedback controls on November 23.

We Are OFK Announcement Trailer

We Are OFK is an upcoming five-episode music biopic game headed to PS4 and PS5 next year. The project is a product of a collaboration between the co-designer of Hyper Light Drifter and indiepop band OFK.

King of Fighters XV Open Beta Test Announcement

An open beta test for King of Fighters XV is headed to PS4 and PS5, according to today’s State of Play showcase. The open beta will have eight fighters to choose from and will feature crossplay between both consoles. The new trailer also marked the debut of Dolores, the latest fighter to arrive in KOF XV.

KartRider: Drift Races Onto PS4

Today’s State of Play featured new gameplay for KartRider: Drift, which is coming to PS4 in 2022. Those interested in trying the game early can sign up for a closed beta scheduled for December 8.

First Class Trouble Gameplay Trailer

Described as an online “social deception party game,” First Class Trouble looks a lot like Among Us, but with rogue AI instead of imposters. First Class Trouble launches next month on November 2 for PS4 and PS5.

Star Ocean The Divine Force Announcement

Square Enix revealed a new Star Ocean game during the State of Play broadcast titled Star Ocean The Divine Force. The upcoming sci-fi action RPG will land on PS4 and PS5 in 2022. You can learn about the new characters and features over on the PlayStation Blog.

Little Devil Inside Gameplay Trailer

The October 2021 State of Play wrapped up with a gameplay trailer for Victorian-era, action-adventure game Little Devil Inside. The trailer offers a closer look at the game’s unique world map and quaint design.
