The PlayStation State of Play broadcast for June 2022 featured several new gameplay trailers and reveals for various PlayStation titles. Resident Evil 4 Remake was announced for PS5, Street Fighter 6 got a full gameplay reveal, Final Fantasy XVI now has a release window, and Stray has an official release date. The showcase also included details on several upcoming PlayStation VR2 titles, such as Horizon Call of the Mountain.

Resident Evil 4 Remake Announced With Release Date
Today’s State of Play broadcast opened with the announcement of Resident Evil 4 Remake, which was revealed with a new gameplay trailer. The game will also feature content for PS VR2, according to the broadcast. The survival horror game will release for PlayStation 5 on March 24, 2023.
Resident Evil Village Coming to PS VR2
In case the original game wasn’t immersive enough, Capcom announced that Resident Evil Village would be available for PlayStation VR2 in the future. A brief teaser shown during today’s State of Play offers a glimpse at what the PS VR2 experience will look like.
Horizon Call of the Mountain Extended VR Gameplay
An extended gameplay trailer for Horizon Call of the Mountain was shown during today’s State of Play. Although the game is being developed exclusively for PS VR2, the system itself is still in development. Horizon Forbidden West is also getting a major update.
Spider-Man Remastered Headed to PC
Originally released for PS4 in 2018, Insomniac’s original Spider-Man game will find new life on PC this summer when Spider-Man Remastered swings onto PC on August 12.
Stray Finally Pounces on a Release Date
Stray, the upcoming adventure game where you play as a cat, now has a release date set for July 19. Stray will be available on PS4, PS5, and PC.
Street Fighter 6 Gameplay Reveal
Capcom delivered on their promise to show more Street Fighter 6 by revealing the first gameplay trailer during today’s State of Play. The trailer features iconic fighters Chun-Li and Ryu as well as newcomers Jaime and Luke. Street Fighter 6 is expected to release in 2023 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Final Fantasy XVI Gameplay Trailer Reveal
Square Enix debuted a new gameplay trailer for Final Fantasy XVI during the June State of Play showcase. Though no exact date was given, the game is expected to release for PS5 in summer 2023.
The Callisto Protocol Gameplay Trailer Revealed
The June 2022 State of Play broadcast included a gameplay trailer for The Callisto Protocol, an upcoming sci-fi horror survival game from the creators of Dead Space. The Callisto Protocol is set to release worldwide for PS4 and PS5 on December 2, 2022.
Rollerdome Release Date Reveal
Rollerdome, a new skating-based shooter from the creators of OlliOlli World, was revealed during State of Play with a snappy gameplay trailer. Rollerdome rolls onto PS4, PS5, and PC on August 16.
Tunic Coming to PlayStation
Zelda-like adventure game Tunic will be making its way to PlayStation later this year. Get ready to dive into Tunic on PS4 and PS5 on September 27.
Season: A Letter to the Future Gameplay Trailer
A new trailer for narrative adventure game Season: A Letter to the Future was shown during Sony’s showcase today. Initially announced back in 2020, Season is expected to launch for PS5 and PS4 this fall.
Eternights Comes to PlayStation in 2023
Described as a “dating-action game,” Eternights is a dating sim with an action-packed twist. When you aren’t fighting dangerous monsters, you can go on dates with other survivors and unlock new skills as your relationships grow. Check out Eternights on PS5 and PS4 early next year.
