IGN is among the many outlets hosting their own digital gaming event in lieu of E3 this year. The Summer of Gaming event kicks off in June and will include the IGN Expo, where exclusive game reveals and announcements will be made. Today, IGN revealed the full Summer of Gaming 2020 schedule, offering a general outline of what’s to come in the weeks ahead.
Summer of Gaming 2020 Event Schedule
The Summer of Gaming event begins on June 4th and will continue throughout the month. Some noteworthy reveals include an unannounced gameplay reveal with The Outsiders’ David Goldfarb, as well as unannounced titles from Merge Games and Fabraz. The IGN Expo, IGN’s exclusive game presentation, will debut on June 5 and will take place across three separate days. The Summer of Gaming schedule also includes several non-IGN showcases. The Guerrilla Collective showcase, which runs from June 6-8, will feature game reveals and live demos from well-known industry developers and publishers. Developer CD Projekt Red will host a special Cyberpunk 2077 livestream followed by the EA Play Live event on June 11.
New gameplay for Mortal Shell, Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time, Spellbreak, Chivalry 2, and Wasteland 3, are among the games being showcased in June. There’s also still more to come from Blizzard, EA, Stadia, Ubisoft, Square Enix, and Xbox as well. Next month is packed with dozens of new trailers and gameplay previews, so you won’t want to miss out on the event’s biggest reveals.
