Women in Gaming: 100 Professionals of Play is written by Meagan Marie, Sr. Community & Social Media Manager at Crystal Dynamics. The book was originally published by Prima Games prior to the company shuttering its print publications in 2019.

“It’s with great pleasure that we are releasing the book ‘Women in Gaming’, written by Crystal Dynamics’ employee Meagan Marie, to the public,” said Scot Amos and Ron Rosenberg, Co-Heads of Studio at Crystal Dynamics. “We look forward to seeing how it inspires even more women to thrive at making great games throughout the industry.”

Women in Gaming celebrates prominent women in the video game industry, from executives and developers to content creators and voice actors. Some noteworthy individuals mentioned in the book include Ashly Burch, Emily Greer, Jane Ng, Lorraine McLees, and Carol Shaw, to name a few. The book also features short essays that cover topics relevant to women in careers related to video games.

Crystal Dynamics will also be donating 200 physical copies of Women in Gaming to Girls Make Games, an organization that teaches girls how to create and develop their own video games through a series of workshops and summer camp activities.
