Anthem, the robotic-suit focused looter-shooter from Bioware, has had some troubled times since launch. The developers are hard at work looking to get it ship-shape, however. Update 1.0.4 became available today, along with a detailed list of patch notes. You can read the full list of patch notes in a post that Bioware made to Reddit.
If you don’t have time for such things, I have picked out some highlights for you. Legendary Missions will allow you to repeat story missions, but at a much higher difficulty. One will be available each day, with no limit on how many times it can be played.
Elysian Caches are a new mechanic for Strongholds. You will earn Elysian Keys by completing daily challenges. These keys can be used to open caches at the end of Stronghold missions. They will contain loot for everyone in the group. Available items include vinyls, victory poses, emotes, and arrivals.
GAME UPDATE 1.0.4 is here! Legendary Missions, Elysian Caches, and a host of other gameplay improvements arrive in Anthem today.

In big news for PC players, assorted FOV sliders have been added. You can set specific FOV values for when you are on the ground, zooming a weapon, in flight, or swimming. This is a very welcome change. All players will also be able to instantly access the Forge without having to go through loading screens, and it is also accessible via the main menu while you’re in Fort Tarsis or the Launch Bay.
For players who use Nvidia RTX-based video cards, there is now support for Deep Learning Super-Sampling. On top of all these changes, there is also a massive list of bug fixes, balance changes, and other improvements.
Without meaning to be too much of a downer, Bioware had made changes to the game before that had unintended consequences. As such, it is honestly hard to know if this update is going to answer the community’s prayers, or just inspire new ones.
