Aliens: Fireteam Now Has a New Name and Release Date

Aliens: Fireteam Elite, formerly known as Aliens: Fireteam, will release later this summer.

Earlier this year, developer Cold Iron Studios and publisher Focus Home Interactive announced Aliens: Fireteam, an upcoming co-op survival shooter set within the Aliens universe. Today, it was revealed that the game is now called Aliens: Fireteam Elite and it will be headed to consoles and PC this August. Pre-orders are now available.

Aliens: Fireteam Elite Release Date

The game’s name change and release date were revealed alongside a new trailer for Aliens: Fireteam Elite today. No reason was given for the name change, but it shouldn’t matter much since relatively little has been revealed about the game since its announcement back in March. Aliens: Fireteam Elite releases on August 24, 2021 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.

The trailer shows off more gameplay footage while covering Elite’s pre-order incentives. Pre-ordering any edition of the game will unlock the Hardened Marine Pack, which includes various accessories and decals.

Two editions of Aliens: Fireteam Elite are available for pre-order, Standard and Deluxe. The latter adds on the Endeavor Veteran Pack and the Endeavor Pass, which grants access to four future DLC bundles for the game’s upcoming seasons.
