Previously, I’d read that playing theHunter: Call of the Wild without the use of an ATV was rough. Having sunk considerable time in myself, I’d agree. However, I recently jumped on my ATV to find myself in first-person mode, and the game’s keybindings list did nothing to help me swap back to third-person. After some random button pressing, here’s a quick guide on how to switch from first-person to third-person view while riding an ATV in theHunter: Call of the Wild.
First-Person to Third-Person ATV View
Once your ATV has been requested, walk up to it and interact with it. Your character will get on the ATV and players will find themselves in either first-person or third-person mode. Whatever your preference is, it’s quite simple to swap from one to the other. While on your ATV, press the C key to switch from first-person to third-person ATV view, or vice versa. This comes down entirely to player preference, so choose the option that best works for you and run with it.
Personally, I prefer the third-person ATV view as it allows me to recognize potential dangers on the road ahead. While first-person mode could be a lot of fun for making a YouTube video or GIF of players tumbling off a cliff, third-person view just feels more practical to me. However, given that theHunter: Call of the Wild is a simulation game, the hardest of the hardcore might prefer first-person to maintain that authentic feel to the game. You do you, and if at some point down the road you want to switch, just remember that you can press the C key to switch.
