Take down the Root in Remnant: From the Ashes Chicago-style with this Long Gun.
Remnant: From the Ashes is an action role-playing third-person shooter that takes place in a post-apocalyptic Earth. Players can obtain various weapons throughout the game, including one called the Chicago Typewriter. This guide will tell you how to get the Chicago Typewriter.
How to Get the Chicago Typewriter
One of the features that have drawn me into Remnant: From the Ashes is its variety of loot and weaponry. In particular, I like how you can pursue the gun or armor you desire in whatever game mode it’s available in.
A particular weapon I have come to enjoy is the Chicago Typewriter. I was first introduced to this Tommy Gun in Survival Mode of Remnant: From the Ashes. While it can be purchased from the start of Survival Mode, you will need to hunt for its location in Adventure or Story Mode.
If you are in Story Mode, starting in Ward 13, go to the World Stone, travel to Earth, and then set Westcourt as your location. Once you spawn into Westcourt, you will want to check each dungeon as you are looking for a specific one called The Warren.
Once you find and fight your way through The Warren, you will reach Land’s End. Land’s End is where you will find a side quest called “A Tale of Two Liz’s.” Your objective here is to survive the Root assault and save the Liz Sisters. Both sisters need to be alive when this side quest is over. Talk to one of the sisters and obtain a key.
Your Story Mode may not have this side quest, so you may need to rely on Adventure Mode for your chance at the Chicago Typewriter. If you don’t come across this in Adventure Mode, simply re-roll your adventure in Westcourt on Earth from the World Stone until you get the right dungeon.
Use the key to unlock a door that has the Chicago Typewriter behind it. The Chicago Typewriter fits in the Long Gun slot of your weapon inventory and will be a fantastic addition to your arsenal. Stay tuned to Guide Stash for even more Remnant: From the Ashes content.
