Catching fish is just one of the many challenges players may run into during Daily Challenges in Red Dead Online. With plenty of fish to catch, the focus may be on a certain one. This guide will show you where the Smallmouth Bass location is in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Smallmouth Bass Location

Many challenges require the player to harvest certain plants, hunt certain animals, or even catch certain fish. The Daily Challenge “0/3 Smallmouth Bass caught” is just that. Players need to catch 3 Smallmouth Bass.
Smallmouth Bass are commonly found in northern rivers and prefer natural baits, such as crickets over lures. Crickets can be bought by opening the Catalogue and finding them with the fishing equipment. They require the player to be Rank 24 to be bought. Once you have your supplies ready, it is time to head out to catch a Smallmouth Bass.
While there are several areas they can be found, this guide will focus on one area specifically. Players will need to head to the Upper Montana River north of Blackwater and just south of Riggs Station.
Making sure your bait and fishing rod are properly equipped, players can choose to stand on the shore or get in the water with the fish. Much like fishing in real life, patience will be a virtue as you are fishing for Smallmouth Bass.
Once you have your fish hooked, you will need to carefully reel it in and collect your prize. Smallmouth Bass will yield Flaky Fish Meat, which can be cooked and consumed at your camp. Smallmouth Bass can also be sold for $2.00 at any town but can be sold for $2.50 in Tumbleweed.
