Pheasants Skinned – Red Dead Online

There is only one way that we know of how to skin a pheasant in Red Dead Redemption 2. Here is where you can find them.

Pheasants are one of the many birds you will find in the world of Red Dead Online. These birds can only be found in a few locations and are required to be hunted when the Daily Challenge arrives. This guide will show you how to complete the Pheasants Skinned challenge in Red Dead Online.

Daily Challenges in Red Dead Online vary between having to pick certain plants or hunt specific animals. One challenge in particular, “0/2 Pheasants Skinned,” requires the player to kill and skin two pheasants.

There are two subspecies of pheasants in Red Dead Redemption 2: the Ring-Necked Pheasant and the Chinese Ring-Necked Pheasant. Skinning two of either of these will allow you to complete the challenge, but first, you need to find them.

Pheasants can be found in the grassland of New Hanover and West Elizabeth. The location of the Ring-Necked Pheasant is south of Blackwater. Leave Blackwater in the direction of the letter “T” in “Elizabeth” on your map. Here you should find two Ring-Necked Pheasants waiting for you. You can use any weapon you want as a clean kill isn’t required.

If for some reason, someone has beaten you to this location, the Chinese Ring-Necked Pheasant location isn’t that far away. Starting from Blackwater, go south-west towards Quaker’s Cove to the marker on the map above. Once you reach this location, be ready to hunt any pheasants you see in this location.

One additional benefit of hunting pheasants is that you will receive flight feathers when skinning them. These feathers are a key ingredient you will need to craft arrows. Now that you know where pheasants are, your horse may need some special tonics, and our Common Bulrush guide will help you find the critical item you need to craft them.
