How to Take a Bath

In an unforgiving world, you can get pretty dirty, and we know how important it is to maintain hygiene. Throughout your travels in Red Dead Redemption 2, Arthur is going to get dirty, and that isn’t good for anybody. Believe it or not, your hygiene can even affect your reputation and cause passers-by to whisper how filthy you are.

Luckily you can take a break, wash your clothes, and even get a bath in the Wild West. To remove the mud and whatever you’ve managed to roll around in, you’ll need to head to a hotel. Hotels are conveniently located in the various towns in Red Dead Redemption 2. Once you walk into the hotel, talk to the owner, and you’ll be given a list of current services.

Staying the night in a hotel will cost you around $1 in the beginning, and a bath will be as low as $0.25. These prices will change the farther you make it through the game, so make sure you save up and have the money for a nice wash.

After you’ve paid for your bath, look at your mini-map and locate the bathtub icon. Once you enter the room, you’ll be able to bathe yourself, or you can pay a little extra and have someone else do the scrubbing. If you choose the additional service, a button prompt will show up on the screen, and let you decide to make small talk while your extremities get washed.

After your bath is over, Arthur will walk out cleaner, and your clothes will be clean as well. Try not to get too dirty too soon and check out our Red Dead Redemption 2 archive for more guides.
