The world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is full of items for players to gather and use. One important plant players may come across is more useful for your horse. This guide will show the Blackcurrant location in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Red Dead Online.
Blackcurrant Location

Daily Challenges vary. Sometimes you have to hunt certain animals or ride your horse a certain distance. In the case of the Blackcurrant, you must harvest a certain number of the plants. The challenge shows up as “0/5 Blackcurrants picked” and tasks players with picking five of the Blackcurrant plants.
Blackcurrants can be identified by their green leaves and clusters of small, round glossy blackberries. They are found in brightly lit areas away from water.
Players will need to head to New Austin and, specifically, Tumbleweed in Gaptooth Ridge. Heading north of the M in Tumbleweed, players will come across a fork in the road. Right before you get to the fork, head left just off the road to find three Blackcurrant plants. Heading further towards the fork will yield you some more. These two locations should have all the Blackcurrant you need.
Blackcurrant is an important item as it can be used to craft a few key things needed not just for yourself but for your horse. The items it helps craft are Special Snake Oil, Special Miracle Tonic, and Horse Meal. Blackcurrant is just one of the many ingredients you will need to craft the items.
Now that you know where to find Blackcurrant, head south of Tumbleweed to locate some Desert Sage. Stay tuned to Guide Stash and the Red Dead Redemption 2 archives for more guides and news.
