To hold a never-changing stone will solve this puzzle and let you gain access to battle Regirock.

More Legendary Pokémon have arrived in Pokémon Sword and Shield: Crown Tundra. Game Freak brought past legendary Pokémon hidden in temples that require trainers to solve a little puzzle. This guide will show how to hold a never changing stone and catch Regirock.

How to Hold a Never Changing Stone

Solving small puzzles have been a part of Pokémon games for a very long time. They are fairly simple, but can be a little tricky due to the wording. To find the temple where Regirock is peacefully sleeping, trainers will need to head southeast of the cemetery in Giant’s Pass. When trainers arrive at the temple and upon interacting with the door, they will be greeted by this message. “Let the first Pokémon hold a never-changing stone.” To solve the puzzle, players will need to open up their bag and have the first Pokémon in the party hold an Everstone. An Everstone stops a Pokémon from evolving only if they are holding it.

After the doors open, walk across the dots on the floor to light them up and interact with the statue in the back. Interacting with the statue will trigger a fight against Regirock who is a Rock-type Pokémon. Make sure to bring some strong Grass or Water-type Pokémon with you to as Rock is weak to them. If you happen to beat Regirock without catching it, don’t worry; just walk over the dots again and you will be able to trigger the battle.

Now that you know how to hold a never changing stone, check out how to walk together with a living crystal of snow and let ring the piercing note. Stay tuned to Guide Stash for more Pokémon Sword and Shield content.
