Gigantamax Eevee has come and gone in Pokémon Sword and Shield in Max Raid Battles. Another familiar Pokémon has taken its place and is ready for trainers to catch if they are up for the challenge. Here is how to catch Gigantamax Meowth in Pokémon Sword and Shield.
How to Catch Gigantamax Meowth
Now that Gigantamax Eevee has left, a new Pokémon has taken its place. Starting today, Gigantamax Meowth will appear in Max Raid Dens until June 2.
This is the first time that Gigantamax Meowth can be caught in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Those who initially purchased Sword and Shield before January 15 received this Pokémon as a special promotion.
Much like Gigantamax Eevee, Gigantamax Meowth cannot evolve but will have an exclusive G-Max move called G-Max Gold Rush. This move will confuse your foes and reward you with more money after the battle.
Battling Gigantamax Meowth will require you to head to the Wild Area and refreshing your Raid Dens. To refresh your Raid Dens, connect to the Internet through Y-Comm and look out for ones emitting a pillar of red light.
Gigantamax Meowth is a Normal-type Pokémon, so you will want to have a strong Fighting-type on hand. Bringing a Rock or Steel-type Pokémon that knows fighting moves will prevent Gigantamax Meowth from doing a lot of damage to it.
Don’t forget that you also have a chance of running into the shiny variant if you are lucky enough. Just remember you have until June 2 to add Gigantamax Meowth to your party. Stay tuned to Guide Stash and our Pokémon Sword and Shield archives for more content.
