Alpha Pokémon exist in Hisui Region and trainers are able to catch them. Be warned that these Pokémon are extremely dangerous and can be very difficult to catch. This guide will show you how to catch Alpha Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
How to Catch Alpha Pokémon
Throughout your journey in the Hisui Region, trainers may come across Pokémon that appear larger than normal and are more hostile. Aside from size, Alpha Pokémon can be spotted by the red glow that is coming from their eyes. These hostile Pokémon are not to be trifled with if you are under level, but you can still catch them by using a few methods.
One way to catch Alpha Pokémon is to battle them head on. Be aware that these Pokémon are extremely tough, as they are set at a higher level and know a move they normally wouldn’t know. Before taking on an Alpha Pokémon, it is best to be prepared and level your Pokémon properly.
The recommended way to catch an Alpha Pokémon is to use the items you have in your satchel to your advantage. Catching Pokémon is made easier by using berries and cakes to distract the Pokémon with. It is possible to use the wrong berry or cake, however, as this depends on what the Pokémon like.
Once you have selected the right berry or cake, throw it past the Pokémon, so its back is facing you. After throwing the berry or cake, get ready to throw your Pokéball. Using an Ultra Ball, Heavy Ball, Leaden Ball, or Gigaton Ball is recommended. Hitting the unsuspecting Alpha Pokémon in the back gives you an advantage. If your first attempt did not work, you can simply run away and return back to the Pokémon.
Once you have caught your Alpha Pokémon, you will have a powerful ally at your disposal. Be sure to stay tuned to Guide Stash for more guides and news on Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
