This Galar Region Legendary Pokémon is finally making its debut in Pokémon GO. Trainers will need to make sure they are well prepared. Here are the Zamazenta Raid counters for Pokémon GO.
Zamazenta Raid Counters
The fifth-anniversary celebration may be over, but Trainers unlocked three special weeks featuring different Pokémon and rewards. The last Ultra Unlock week is spread over two weeks with the second week marking the debut of The Hero of Many Battles, Zamazenta.
Zamazenta hails from the Galar Region and is part of the Legendary duo alongside Zacian, and is a pure Fighting-Type Pokémon. Trainers will want to bring strong Fairy, Flying, or Psychic-Type Pokémon to get the advantage. Even Pokémon who know Fairy, Flying, and Psychic-Type moves will be great to have in your party. Below is a list of Pokémon and moves you will find useful:
- (Mega) Gengar: Lick and Psychic
- Mewtwo: Confusion and Psychic
- (Mega) Pidgeot: Gust and Brave Bird
- Metagross: Zen Headbutt and Psychic
- Moltres: Wing Attack and Sky Attack
- Lugia: Extrasensory and Aeroblast
Any of the Pokémon above will be your best counters against Zamazenta. You can have more than one of each Pokémon in your party if you choose to. Zamazenta is a Five-Star Raid and you will want to have five or more people in your raiding party. The more people you have, the easier Zamazenta will be to take down.
After defeating Zamazenta you will earn rewards and be given the ability to catch it. Right now, the Shiny Form of Zamazenta is unavailable and may be unavailable for some time.
Now that you know how to take down Zamazenta, be sure to check out our Pokémon GO archives for more guides and news.
