Yveltal Raid Counters
After a few weeks of battling the Fairy-type Pokémon Xerneas, the second half of the Luminous Legends event will kick off with a brand-new Legendary Pokémon. Making its debut May 18, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. and ending May 30, 2021 at 8:00 p.m. is the Legendary Pokémon Yveltal.
Yveltal made its appearance in Pokémon Y which introduced the Kalos Region to the world of Pokémon. Yveltal is a Dark and Flying-Type Pokémon with plenty of counters to choose from. You will want to have Electric, Fairy, Ice, or Rock-type Pokémon in your party. Below are just some of the counters you can have.
- Raikou: Thunder Shock and Wild Charge
- Mega Manectric: Charge Beam and Wild Charge
- Thundurus (Therian Form): Volt Switch and Thunderbolt
- Magnezone: Spark and Wild Charge
- Rhyperior: Smack Down and Rock Wrecker/Stone Edge
- Rampardos: Smack Down and Rock Slide
Trainers can will need any combination of the above Pokémon or even multiple of them in your party. It will be best to be in a party of five or more to make sure that Yveltal is defeated in time. The more people in your party the better.
Niantic has not announced if Shiny Yveltal will be available to catch once its raid debut takes place. It is best to keep an eye out for it and hope that luck is on your side. Stay tuned to Guide Stash and the Pokémon GO archives for more guides and news.
