One of the most important items to obtain in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is the Celestial Wyverian Print. The Celestial Wyverian Print is a Master Rank Material that can be exchanged at the Elder Melder for rare items or materials. The more you progress through the story, more items, and materials will be purchasable.

This item is gathered and collected by Hunters to improve their Equipment and performance out in the field. Obtaining the item takes a lot of luck as it can only be obtained from the Steamworks Minigame.

Steamworks Minigame

The Steamworks Minigame is located at the Seliana Hub that is available once you set foot in Seliana and helps lessen the grind for items in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. The Steamworks requires fuel to operate so that the minigame can begin. Fuel can be obtained by completing quests, converting fuel items, or any unwanted ore. The fuel does generate naturally by itself, but it takes time. If you don’t want to wait, converting items to fuel will be your best bet.

Once you have the fuel, the fun begins with the press of a random sequence of buttons to generate steam power for Seliana. With this in mind, you have a few things to consider:

  • The closer your guesses are to the correct order will mean better items received at the end.
  • Occasionally you’ll be told the order by Felynes.

Performing well in the Steamworks Minigame can grant you an overdrive bonus once you fill the steam gauge all the way to the right or when it turns red. Doing this will reward you with a chance of obtaining the Celestial Wyverian Print. Keep in mind that you can only earn a Celestial Wyverian Print once a week, so make sure you get one before reset happens.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne is available to play on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with a January 2020 release for PC. Check out the Guide Stash Monster Hunter: World page for more on Capcom’s must-have monster-hunting title.
