Zabu Deck Guide – Marvel Snap

Cut your 4-Cost cards in half with the jungle cat Zabu in Marvel Snap

Certain cards can swing the game quickly. One card that can do so is part of the Savage Land season pass. Zabu is a fierce jungle cat that can make your opponent run for the hills. Here is the Zabu deck guide for Marvel Snap.

2 Lane Zabu - Zabu Deck Guide – Marvel Snap

Each season, Marvel Snap introduces new cards with new abilities players can use against each other. The Savage Land season introduced players to Zabu the saber-tooth tiger. Zabu is a 3-cost 2-power Ongoing card that reduces your 4-cost cards by 2 cost.

The 2-Lane Zabu deck gives players the option to shut down one lane with Storm and stack that lane with cards before your opponent can take it. Cards like Sunspot and Infinaut are key as Sunspot lets you gain power without using it. Zabu will let you use Jessica Jones, Warpath, or White Queen with Storm to ensure victory on that lane. Storm is going to be a key card for control on one lane, so you can concentrate on taking a second.

  • (2) Armor
  • (2) Lizard
  • (3) Storm
  • (3) Zabu
  • (4) Shang-Chi
  • (4) Jessica Jones
  • (4) Warpath
  • (4) White Queen
  • (6) The Infinaut

By using Zabu, you can open up many opportunities to use 4-cost cards that you would not usually use. Some of these cards will allow you to take control of the game early and even prevent your opponent from playing cards on certain turns. Cards like Jessica Jones, Spider-Man, and Wong are even better when paired with Zabu. Above and below you will find a few decks that center around Zabu and make the most of his ability.

  • (4) Crossbones
  • (6) Doctor Doom

Zabu-Man is one of my favorite decks to play. Spider-Man and Absorbing Man are your key cards in this deck. If you have both cards in this deck after placing Zabu, you will want to play each card on different lanes on turn 5, playing Spider-Man first and then Absorbing Man. Spider-Man will web the opposite lane making it impossible for your opponent to play a card on turn 6. Absorbing man copies the last ability of a reveal card, so he will also web the opposite lane preventing a card from being played. You will be free on turn 6 to fill your two lanes with cards and take the win.

  • (3) Ironheart
  • (3) Mystique
  • (3) Silver Surfer
  • (3) Storm
  • (3) Zabu
  • (3) Juggernaut
  • (4) Wong
  • (4) Omega Red
  • (4) White Queen
  • (6) Odin

This Zabu deck is one I made myself and enjoy using. Wong, Mystique, Ironheart, Psylocke, and Odin are important in this deck. After playing Zabu on turn 3, your turn 4 will be Psylocke and Wong on opposite lanes. Wong will need to be played on a lane that does not have any cards as his ability lets Reveal abilities happen twice. Turn 5 will be Mystique and Ironheart on the same lane as Wong. Mystique will need to be played first on turn 5 to copy Wong’s ability giving Ironheart a chance to give +2 Power to 3 other cards four times. Playing Odin on the same lane as Wong, Mystique, and Ironheart will trigger that effect again. Four more power scans by Ironheart will ensure to power up your other cards on other lanes.

Zabu decks will be a great addition to the decks you already have and will give you the variety you need to make your way to Infinite Rank. If you are looking to make more decks, make sure to check out our Patriot deck guide. Stay tuned to Guide Stash for more guides and news on Marvel Snap
