Among the challenges for Week 6, Season 8 in Fortnite is a challenge that instructs players to “search where the knife points on the Treasure Map loading screen.” If this challenge has you stumped, don’t worry. Below, we’ll explain how to search where the knife points in Fortnite’s loading screen so that you can mark off this challenge and be on your way.
This challenge is very similar to the magnifying glass challenge from Week 3. In fact, this challenge requires players to use the same Treasure Map loading screen to determine the location of buried treasure.
Before you can search where the knife points on the map, you must first unlock the map itself. The Treasure Map loading screen becomes available upon reaching Tier 10 in the premium Season 8 Battle Pass.
Search Where the Knife Points in Fortnite
In the upper right corner of the Treasure Map loading screen, you’ll see a knife sticking out of the map. The knife points to a location just north of the racetrack, which is on the far east side of the island in Battle Royale. We’ve circled where the knife points on the Fortnite map below to help you get a better idea of where to go.
The knife points to a small dirt mound amidst the trees and grass between Lonely Lodge and the racetrack, not far from the former superhero mansion. If you’re searching in the right area, a golden Battle Star will pop up from the ground.
That’s it! Simply collect the Battle Star and complete the match normally by winning or being eliminated to complete the knife point challenge.
