Treasure Map Magnifying Glass

Like the previous loading screen challenges in Fortnite, this challenge requires unlocking a specific loading screen and analyzing it for clues that lead to a hidden Battle Star. However, in this case, the analysis is done for you, and all you have to do is figure out where to go.

Before you attempt this challenge, you must first unlock the Treasure Map loading screen in Fortnite. This loading screen becomes available once you have reached level 10 in the premium Season 8 Battle Pass.

The Treasure Map loading screen depicts a more rustic, pirate-like version of the battle royale map. In the image, there is a magnifying glass sitting over what appears to be a small ring of trees. Your job is to determine where this location is on the actual Fortnite map, then visit this location to search for treasure, which in this case should be a hidden Battle Star.

The magnifying glass in Fortnite points to a circle of trees in the snow biome to the east of Frosty Flights and southwest of Polar Peak. We’ve circled it on the map image below so you can see exactly where to go.

Here, you’ll find a large ice sculpture of the infamous Ice King facing a pair of knights. Approach the base of the Ice King sculpture. If you’re in the correct spot, a golden Battle Star should pop up. Search and collect the Battle Star, then complete the match normally to finish the challenge.

Although this Treasure Map challenge isn’t all that difficult, the part that takes the most effort is unlocking the Treasure Map loading screen, as you will have to reach Battle Pass level 10. Though this shouldn’t take too long if you’re on top of your weekly challenges, it adds some complexity to the typical challenge formula.
