Until today, most of the Fortbyte challenges that have unlocked so far in Fortnite have been pretty straightforward. Fortbyte 82 changes things up a bit by requiring players to solve a pressure plate puzzle northwest of The Block. The puzzle itself isn’t all that hard, but if you want to save yourself some time, we’ve got the steps for solving Fortnite’s pressure plate puzzle below.
Fortbyte #82 – Solve the Pressure Plate Puzzle NW of The Block
Per its description, Fortbyte 82 is accessible by solving the pressure plate puzzle NW of The Block. Head towards The Block in the north and look for a group of small pressure plates on the ground in an open patch of grass amidst some trees to the northwest. Fortbyte 82 will be floating nearby, but it won’t be available until you solve the puzzle.
Solving the pressure plate puzzle in Fortnite requires four players. Teaming up with three other friends in Squads is the easiest approach, but you can also do this with three random players that are willing to cooperate. If you’re playing solo or don’t have enough people to join, try finding some players in Team Rumble or another team-based LTM to recruit more players to solve the puzzle.
Once you have enough players, three people need to stand on the pressure plates at the same time, while the fourth person collects Fortbyte 82 from the center plate. Players can take turns standing on pressure plates until everyone has collected the Fortbyte.
Finish the match normally so that your efforts count towards the challenge. When you return to the lobby, a new tile will be revealed on the Fortbyte mystery image.
Fortnite Season 9 already has a handful of Fortbytes unlocked already. If you’re working your way through the Fortbytes, be sure to check out our guides on how to get the Fortbyte in Haunted Hills and Fatal Fields, as they are easy to get. Fortbyte 92 is a bit trickier, but we’ve got you covered there as well.
