Find out whether Mediatonic plans on bringing Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout to other platforms.
Despite launching just a little over a week ago, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has already gained massive popularity on PlayStation 4 and Steam. The massively multiplayer party game surpassed over one million new players in its first 24 hours, putting the game on the road to success. The game’s success has prompted players to wonder whether Fall Guys will release on other platforms, including Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, mobile devices, or other consoles. We’ll go over what we know so far based on claims made by the game’s developer, Mediatonic.
Will Fall Guys Come to Switch and Xbox?
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout initially released on August 3, 2020 for PS4 and PC and is currently only available on those two platforms. Players on other consoles get to miss out on the fun for now. This may not be permanent, however.
According to the Mediatonic support page, there’s still a chance that Fall Guys will come to other platforms. “To start with, Fall Guys will only be available on PS4 and Steam,” wrote the developers under the Technical Questions support category. “We’d love to bring the game to other platforms further down the line.” An earlier version of this support page had included text encouraging fans to let the developers know which platforms they want the game to release on next, but that text has since been removed.
So, there you have it. There’s no solid answer as to whether Fall Guys will come to Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, or other platforms. However, the developers are not opposed to the idea of expanding the game’s reach in the future. Hopefully, this will happen sooner rather than later.
Currently, Fall Guys is suffering from server problems. A notice on the game’s Steam page says that the developers are working to increase the game’s server capacity and to be aware of ongoing matchmaking issues. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is available on PS4 and Steam for $19.99.
