Destiny 2 Season of the Lost is upon us, and with it comes a new quest titled Tracing the Stars. The quest involves collecting a series of Atlas Skews throughout the Dreaming City. In order to begin the Tracing the Stars quest, Guardians must first complete the main story quest of Season of the Lost.
Atlas Skew Locations – Week 1
After finishing the beginning missions for Season of the Lost, the Tracing the Stars quest will become available. The first part of Tracing the Stars tasks players with collecting five Atlas Skews within the Divalian Mists, Spine of Keres, and Lost Sector regions. Atlas Skews are new items that resemble a white rod with a circular silver portion in the middle.
We’ve included map images below for each Atlas Skew location, along with an image of the surrounding area for context. The first five Atlas Skews can be found in the following locations in Destiny 2:
- Divalian-Rheasivia Path, Lower Cliffside
- Divalian-Cimmerian Path, Central Cave
- Drowned Bay Alcove
- Spine Oracle Orrery
- Distant Spine Island Tree
Divalian-Rheasilvia Path, Lower Cliffside
To find the first Atlas Skew, head to Divalian Mists. From the spawn, hang a left toward the cave that leads to Rheasilvia. Look down over the edge of the cliff to find the first Atlas Skew on the ledge below. Drop down to collect the Atlas Skew.
Divalian-Cimmerian Path, Central Cave
The second Atlas Skew is also found in Divalian Mists. Return to the Divalian Mists spawn and go straight forward into the small cave at the base of the cliff. The Atlas Skew is found hovering above the water at the end of the cave.
Drowned Bay Alcove
Return to Divalian Mists once more. From the spawn location, turn around and climb up the rocks to enter the Bay of Drowned Wishes. Continue through the cave until it spits you out on a beach near some Scorn. Hang a right past the Scorn and look for the Atlas Skew along the rock wall.
Spine Oracle Orrery
Spawn in at Divalian Mists and head toward the cave to Rheasilvia once again. Before the ledge, turn left and go through the small blue tunnel. Hop across the rocks to reach the path on the opposite side leading toward the Oracle tower. Enter the building and continue up the spiral staircase to find the fourth Atlas Skew at the end of the walkway.
Distant Spine Island Tree
Descend to the base of the Oracle tower (don’t return to Divalian Mists this time) and go back outside. Follow the outer walkway and continue along the broken path leading away from the Mists. Hop across the small island chain until you reach one with a large protruding tree. You’ll find the last Atlas Skew along the rocks at the base of the tree.
Once you have collected all five Atlas Skews, you will be prompted to access the H.E.L.M. and select the mission “A Hollow Coronation.” Drop off your Atlas Skews at the Atlas Terminal to finish up the first part of the Tracing the Stars quest in Destiny 2.
