The Rasmussen Clan shader in Destiny 2 is perfect for a bit of added flair. Players looking to unlock the shader in their collection book will first need to get it in-game. Acquiring the Rasmussen Clan shader is easier said than done, as it’s quite rare.
How to Get the Rasmussen Clan Shader
The Rasmussen Clan shader is exclusive to the Volundr forge. Any weapon or piece of armor acquired from Volundr has a chance to come with Rasmussen Clan applied. You must dismantle the item to actually have the shader added to your collection.
The downside is that if the weapon or armor has a particularly good roll, you will need to toss up whether you want to keep it for the stats or dismantle it for the shader.
What this all means is that you need to farm the Volundr forge in the European Dead Zone for gear drops. To do this, you must have charged a powerful weapon frame from Ada-1 and then forge it at Volundr. You can increase your chances of receiving the Rasmussen Clan shader if you can also get a piece of armor to drop, which can be done by using a Forge Polymer.
To get Forge Polymer, head to Ada-1 in the Tower and tab over to her second page of stock. Forge Polymer costs 10 Legendary Shards and 6 Black Armory Schematics to purchase, you will likely be able to purchase two before needing to farm up some more schematics.
Of all the forges that were added with the Black Armory update, the Volundr forge is one of the easiest forges to complete. You should hopefully find it incredibly easy to farm several forge ignitions for your shader.
With two powerful weapon frames available a week, a bonus piece of armor after forging two weapons, and as many Forge Polymers as you can get, you should have plenty of opportunity to get the Rasmussen Clan shader in Destiny 2.
