How to Get The Lumina Exotic Hand Cannon in Destiny 2

Lumina, a new exotic weapon, is available to find in Destiny 2. We show you how to get it.

Another week has passed in Season of Opulence in Destiny 2 and this reset has brought a new exotic quest with it. We will show you how to get the Lumina exotic hand cannon in Destiny 2.

How to get the Lumina

Lumina is an exotic hand cannon that is tied to Season of Opulence and is one weapon that will surely be used in the Crucible and any PvP activity. The steps below show you how to get the Lumina exotic hand cannon.

Back to the EDZ

The video above shows you how to begin the Lumina quest. The very first step is to load into the EDZ in Trostland near Devrim. Once you have landed, make your way to the Salt Mines behind the church.

Continue through the Salt Mines to the broken teleporter. Killing the Fallen in the mines is completely up to you. Once you travel through the teleporter, make your way up the hill. Staying on the left-hand side of the hill, follow the guard rails and follow the small path.

Jump up into a small cave until you reach an abandoned campsite. Walk straight past the campsite until you see a chest. Open the chest to begin the quest for Lumina. Starting the Lumina quest is exactly the same as starting Thorn.

A Fateful Gift

Once you complete the first step, you will receive the System Positioning Device. This device will tell you where you need to go to find an ornate chest with roses on it.

This part of the quest is random, so read it carefully as the chest could be on any planet. Thanks to Reddit user realcoolioman, you can find your chest easily.

Bearers of Evils Past

The next step on your quest to Lumina is generating 250 Orbs of Light. You can generate orbs of light by using a roaming super and masterwork weapons. The quickest way to generate orbs is to start a Blind Well in the Dreaming City, Escalation Protocol on Mars, or going to the Menagerie on the Leviathan.

Rose, Revealed

The Lumina quest really picks up on the fourth step. The fourth step has three quests you must finish to move on to the next. Here are the quests and requirements to finish them.

Band Together – Complete a Nightfall strike with a score of 50,000 or higher.

Face the Horde – Complete encounters at the Blind Well, Black Armory, or Escalation Protocol.

Defend the Light – Kill 100 enemies without reloading your weapon.

Fireteam Leader

This step will require you to complete activities in a Fireteam. All guardians will need to have Rose equipped as it will speed up the progress. This can be completed doing any activities in Destiny 2, but if you’re in a rush, do the Lake of Shadows strike to get it done even quicker.

Strength in Numbers

It wouldn’t be an exotic quest without a trip to the Crucible and Gambit. Guardians will need to generate 35 Orbs of Light for others, get kills with hand cannons, and defeat Invaders in Gambit before they can kill your teammates. The kill will only count if do it within ten seconds and receive the Not on my Watch medal. Working with friends is the key to finishing this step.

Xol Crystal Hunting

The last step in the quest is firing up the Will of the Thousands strike on Mars. While your main objective is still to kill Xol, you will also be tasked to take out crystals that are spread throughout the strike. These crystals are all over the place and luckily YouTuber Houndish has found them all for us. Once completed you will have Lumina.
