Having the right Exotic Armor in Destiny 2 can help turn the tide when needed. Hunters, in particular, have some really great Exotic pieces of armor that are a must-have. This season’s Hunter Exotic Leg Armor is one of them. Here is how to get Star-Eater Scales Exotic Leg Armor in Destiny 2.
How to Get Star-Eater Scales

Hunters have been on the receiving end of some really great Exotic Armor in the history of Destiny. The past few seasons, I have been switched between Orpheus Rigs and Stomp-EE5 depending on the situation and what Super I am running. The new Hunter Exotic Legs are definitely in rotation when I can get my hands on them.
The way to get Star-Eater Scales is straight forward. It requires players to participate in either the Legendary or Master Lost Sector that awards Exotic Legs as a possible drop when completed solo. Completing the Lost Sector may be difficult for some depending on the modifiers. Guardians may need to complete the Lost Sector several times before being awarded the new powerful Exotic Legs.
The reason why the Star-Eater Scales is an Exotic Armor piece you need is due to how powerful they are. When your Super is charged, and you pick up Orbs of Power, your damage output is increased when you cast it. This is thanks to its Feast of Light perk, which increases damage with each Orb of Light you pick up and stacks up to four times. The full description of Feast of Light is listed below.
- You gain additional Super energy from Orbs of Power you pick up. While your Super energy is full, picking up an Orb of Power overcharges your Super, causing you to gain a burst of healing when cast and a bonus to your Super damage. At maximum overcharge, you also gain an overshield.
Star-Eater Scales is essentially a Celestial Nighthawk for your legs. In fact, these Exotic Boots can do more damage than Celestial Nighthawk can. For a full breakdown of how, check out the video by KackisHD above. I, for one, will be hunting down the Star-Eater Scales once it comes up in the Legend and Master Lost Sector rotation.
