Learn how to unlock Luna’s Howl, the Crucible Pinnacle weapon in Destiny 2.

Getting Luna’s Howl in Destiny 2 is a titanic undertaking. The quest to unlock this Crucible Pinnacle weapon is fraught with tough objectives. But if you can overcome the Competitive Crucible requirements, you can claim a powerful Hand Cannon that’s perfect for PVP.

How to Get Luna’s Howl

To get Luna’s Howl you must complete the quest, Remembrance. This is purchased from Lord Shaxx in the Tower and has seven steps which must be finished in sequential order.

Remembrance Quest

There are seven unique steps in the Remembrance quest line. These unlock one after another, which means you can’t finish a later one before completing an early one. The only exception to this is Reconstruction, which requires getting to Fabled Glory Rank. If you reach Fabled before this step, it will recognize your rank and complete.

  1. Shock and Denial – Complete 10 Competitive Crucible matches
  2. Pain and Guilt – 150 Hand Cannon kills in Competitive Crucible
  3. Anger and Bargaining – 200 Solar kills in Competitive Crucible
  4. Depression and Loneliness – Complete 3 Rumble matches
  5. The Upward Turn – 100 Precision Hand Cannon kills in Competitive Crucible
  6. Reconstruction – Reach Fabled Glory Rank
  7. Acceptance – Collect Luna’s Howl from Lord Shaxx

Completing all of these steps is no easy task. In fact, because nearly all of them take place in Competitive Crucible, it could be said that getting Luna’s Howl is the second most difficult to acquire Pinnacle weapon in Destiny 2. The hardest one to claim would be Not Forgotten.

How to get Not Forgotten

Not Forgotten is the sister Hand Cannon to Luna’s Howl. They are both the same archetype, but Not Forgotten has a greater Range stat while the other has better Stabilitiy.

To unlock Not Forgotten, you must first acquire Luna’s Howl and then head back into Competitive Crucible to complete the following:

  1. 500 kills with Luna’s Howl in Competitive
  2. Reach Legend Glory Rank

Getting Luna’s Howl in Destiny 2 is going to be a herculean task for a lot of players. It requires a very specific style of gameplay in order to unlock as well as a lot of Competitive matches. But with the right team and mindset, you can complete these tasks and get your Pinnacle Hand Cannon, and possibly even Not Forgotten.
