How to Get Cryosthesia 77K

Each new season of Destiny 2 brings a free Exotic for players to unlock. Eager Guardians can grab an Exotic Sidearm called Cryosthesia 77K during Season 14. This new weapon sits in rare company by dealing Stasis damage, something that could see it sneak into the meta.

Guardians will be happy to know that there’s little grind involved with unlocking Cryosthesia 77K in Destiny 2. Interested players will have this weapon unlocked automatically if they own the season pass. Just fire up Season of the Splicer on May 11 and it’s yours. For those that don’t own the season pass, the weapon will unlock at Rank 35 of the free track. Yes, that’s correct, even Guardians that don’t fork out cash for the season pass can get this weapon. The process is just a little slower than their season pass-buying counterparts.

While I’m not a big fan of Sidearms in Destiny 2, the fact that Cryosthesia 77K deals Stasis damage might just help it find a spot in my inventory. There’s no question that if Bungie is releasing another Stasis weapon, they intend to make it useful throughout Season 14 and probably beyond.

What we don’t know yet is what the Intrinsic Trait is for this new Exotic, and how Sidearms are going to perform overall come Season of the Splicer on May 11. Truthfully, it doesn’t matter. We’re all suckers walking the same path on our epic quest for new loot. Whether Guardians fire it at a Dreg, stuff it in the vault never to be dusted off again, or use it daily, it is a thing that is new and we must have it. You know this is true.
