A new exotic weapon is available for Guardians to go after, all thanks to countless hours of the Destiny 2 community solving an elaborate puzzle in the Corridors of Time. This guide will show you how to get Bastion, the Exotic Fusion Rifle in Destiny 2.
How to Get Bastion
Bastion is an Exotic Fusion Rifle that the Destiny 2 community has known about for some time now and is finally available for players to get. The first step is to finish the Corridors of Time quest. This quest tasks you with passing through corridors in a certain order to begin the quest for Bastion. Once, you reach the grave and pay your respects, you will receive the Chromatic Weapon Core. Return to Saint-14 in the Tower to begin the quest, Memento – A False Refraction.
Memento – Spoken Word
After talking with Saint-14, your next task will be to defeat Fallen Captains and Servitors in the Tangled Shore. Head to Thieves’ Landing as this is the best spot to take down Fallen Captains and Servitors. You will need to take down a total of five to collect the necessary intel to finish the quest.
Memento – Lost Connection
Once you have collected the five pieces of intel, head to Spider as he would like to talk to you. Spider is very quid pro quo, so you know you’ll probably be taking someone out in return for his help.
Memento – Backroom Brawl
After speaking with Spider, your next step is to head to the Lost Sector Empty Tank in Thieves’ Landing. Here you will be taking out Aksiniks, Bound by Honor, who has been placing unsolicited bets.
Memento – A Strong Arm
Once you have taken out Aksiniks, your next task is to do a little grinding. These events all take place on the Tangled Shore, so you don’t have to go anywhere else.
- 10 Spider Bounties.
- 30 Challenging enemies defeated.
- 8 Public Events.
Make sure to grab bounties from Spider, even the Wanted bounties, as you will need to do enough to complete this portion of the quest. Heroic Public events also count as two, so make sure to make the Public Events Heroic.
Memento – Rude Awakening
After completing the little grind portion of Bastion, you will need to head to the Lost Sector: Trapper’s Grave in Four Horn-Gulch. Do the Lost Sector like normal, but when you fall down the waterfall, turn around and look in the right-hand corner to see smoke. This is the grave you’re looking for, despite it just being smoke and not an actual grave.
Memento – Altered Chief
After finding the grave, open the Director and head into The Hollowed Lair Strike. Play the Strike as usual, but when you get the end, a new enemy will show up for you to defeat named Defiled Reysk, the Waning Light. Once, this Scorn Chieftan is defeated, finish the Strike and head back to the Tower and talk to Saint-14. After talking to Saint-14, you will be rewarded with Bastion, the Exotic Fusion Rifle.
Bastion is an Exotic Fusion Rifle that sits in the Kinetic slot. It also happens to be Saint-14’s favorite weapon, despite Perfect Paradox being his favorite weapon. The perks for Bastion are as follows:
- Saint’s Fists – Charge to fire 3 spreads of Kinetic slugs.
- Hammer-Forged Rifling – Durable ranged barrel. Increases range.
- Liquid Coils – Slower-building charge for higher damage. Increases impact damage and slower charge time.
- Breakthrough – A portion of this weapon’s damage bypasses elemental shields.
- Composite Stock – This weapon has a versatile dual-purpose stock. Slightly increases stability and handling speed.
Now that you have Bastion, go show Saint-14 just how well you can handle his favorite weapon. Make sure to check out our Destiny 2 archives for even more guides.
