Complete Tracing the Stars

To earn Ager’s Scepter in Destiny 2, players must first complete a three-part quest called Tracing the Stars. This quest involves collecting a series of Atlas Skews that are scattered throughout the Dreaming City. The first three weeks of Season of the Lost tasked Guardians with collecting different Atlas Skews each week and turning them in to an Atlas Terminal. The articles linked below will explain where to find the Atlas Skews for all three parts of Tracing the Stars.

Unlock A Hollow Coronation

You’re not done with Atlas Skews just yet. After completing all three parts of Tracing the Stars, a new exotic quest called A Hollow Coronation will become available. Speak to Mara Sov in the H.E.L.M. to kick off the quest.

Collect Atlas Skews in the Confluence

Once A Hollow Coronation has begun, your next task is to find and collect another set of five Atlas Skews. This time, all five Atlas Skews will be found in The Confluence, an off-map part of the Dreaming City in Destiny 2. Head over to our guide to find out where to pick up all five Atlas Skews in The Confluence.

Upon collecting the final set of Atlas Skews, return to Mara Sov as you did before and offload your Skews at an Atlas Terminal. This time, you will be taken to a new area of the Gatehouse where you can see the Ager’s Scepter. However, you can’t get it just yet.

Play Astral Alignment

The next step is to defeat enemies with rifles in the Astral Alignment seasonal activity and earn 100 Parallax Trajectory. Any type of rifle will do for this objective. It may take multiple attempts depending on how many enemies you can eliminate at a time.

After getting the requisite rifle kills in Astral Alignment, the next step is to defeat 18 Champions and 20 combatants with Supers in Astral Alignment. Try to get some damage in on Champions when they appear, as this will count towards your progress even if you aren’t the one to finish them off.

Find Strands of Nobility

Upon completing the tasks in Astral Alignment, the next step towards getting Ager’s Scepter is to collect Strands of Nobility from three different Strikes: Lake of Shadows (EDZ), The Disgraced (Cosmodrome), and The Glassway (Europa).

For this step, simply select each Strike from the Director and play through each one. Strands of Nobility will drop from the final chest upon completion.

Get the Ager’s Scepter and Defeat Enemies

Once you have finished collecting the three Strands of Nobility, return to the H.E.L.M. and claim your new hard-earned rifle, Ager’s Scepter, from Mara Sov. You’ll have to test it out on some rocks and defeat some Hive in order to fully complete A Hollow Coronation.
