The Legendary Auto Rifle False Promises is a new addition in Season of the Arrivals. To obtain False Promises, you will need to get an Umbral Engram and decrypt it in the Annex with The Drifter. You will want to keep an eye on what perks you acquire with this weapon as some will be better than others. Here are the recommended perks for the False Promises god roll in Destiny 2.
False Promises God Roll – PvE
Auto Rifles are my go-to weapon in many situations in Destiny 2. False Promises is packed with many different perks you can acquire that will either make it a must-have weapon, or cause you to throw it off the side of the Tower in disgust. Let’s take a look at what the recommended perks are for the False Promises PvE god roll. We’ve put our favorite in bold, but any of the perks listed below are considered ideal for a PvE god roll.
PvE Perk Slot 1
Stability, Range, and Recoil are good stats to focus on in the first column, so look for one of these perks.
- Chambered Compensator: +10 Stability, +10 Recoil, and -5 Handling
- Fluted Barrel: +5 Stability and +15 Handling
- Hammer-Forged Rifling: +10 Range
- Polygonal Rifling: +10 Stability
- Smallbore: +7 Range and +7 Stability
- Corkscrew Rifling: +5 Range, +5 Stability, and +5 Handling
PvE Perk Slot 2
You can never have too much Stability and mixing it with a little Range is great.
- Richochet Rounds: +5 Range and +10 Stability
- Flared Magwell: +5 Stability and +15 Reload Speed
- Light Mag: +5 Range and +10 Reload Speed
- Extended Mag: -20 Reload Speed and +30 Magazine
- Appended Mag: +20 Magazine
PvE Perk Slot 3
Any of these four perks will be great, but I’m partial to always increase Mobility and Handling.
- Overflow: Picking up Special or Heavy ammo reloads this weapon to beyond normal capacity
- Killing Wind: Final blows grant increased mobility, weapon range, and handling for a short duration
- Feeding Frenzy: Each rapid kill with this weapon progressively increases reload speed for a short time
- Subsistence: Kills partially reload the magazine from reserves, but reserves capacity is reduced
PvE Perk Slot 4
Increasing Damage will definitely be the go to option in the last perk slot.
- Swashbuckler: This weapon gains increased damage from melee kills and kills with this weapon
- Unrelenting: Rapidly defeating targets triggers health regeneration. Guardians and powerful combatants count as more than one kill
- Rampage: Kills with this weapon temporarily grant increased damage. Stacks 3x
- Surrounded: This weapon gains bonus damage when three or more enemies are in close proximity
False Promises God Roll – PvP
Here are the recommended perks for the False Promises PvP god roll. The range is already pretty good, but the Stability could use a bump.
PvP Perk Slot 1
Just like with PvE, Stability is on the menu for the first column.
- Chambered Compensator: +10 Stability, +10 Recoil, and -5 Handling
- Fluted Barrel: +5 Stability and +15 Handling
- Hammer-Forged Rifling: +10 Range
- Polygonal Rifling: +10 Stability
- Smallbore: +7 Range and +7 Stability
PvP Perk Slot 2
Range and Stability will be your friend when taking opponents down.
- Richochet Rounds: +5 Range and +10 Stability
- Flared Magwell: +5 Stability and +15 Reload Speed
- Light Mag: +5 Range and +10 Reload Speed
- High-Caliber Rounds: +5 Range
PvP Perk Slot 3
Any perk that will increase your Range is what is needed in Slot 3.
- Overflow: Picking up Special or Heavy ammo reloads this weapon to beyond normal capacity
- Killing Wind: Final blows grant increased mobility, weapon range, and handling for a short duration
- Feeding Frenzy: Each rapid kill with this weapon progressively increases reload speed for a short time
- Dynamic Sway Reduction: Improves accuracy and stability while continuously holding down the trigger
PvP Perk Slot 4
All but one perk will be available at random for a PvP build. Any of them will do you good.
Stacks 3x
- Sympathetic Arsenal: Reloading after a final blow also reloads stowed weapons
- Zen Moment: Causing damage with this weapon increase its stability
- Eye of The Storm: This weapon becomes more accurate and boosts handing as your health gets lower
