Season of the Chosen in Destiny 2 has introduced a new Sidearm named Brass Attacks. This Legendary weapon can really pack a punch with the right perks. This guide will tell you the recommended perks that make up the Brass Attacks god roll.
Brass Attacks God Roll – PVE
The Sidearm in Destiny 2 has always been hit or miss for me and only gets used when bounties call for it. Brass Attack is a two-burst fire sidearm that I enjoy over single-shot Sidearms. With that in mind, perks that increase Stability and Range will be best to have. Here are the recommended PVE perks:
PvE Perk Slot 1
Increased Range will be great to have, but with Brass Attacks being a two-burst fire sidearm, you may want to go with Stability as well. Smallbore gives a nice balance between the two categories without taking anything away.
- Hammer-Forged Rifling: +10 Range
- Polygonal Rifling: +10 Stability
- Smallbore: +7 Range and +7 Stability
- Fluted Barrel: +5 Stability and +15 Handling
PvE Perk Slot 2
Increased Magazine Size is always good to have when equipping a Sidearm. I like Appended Mag as it does not decrease reload speed but gives your more rounds in the magazine.
- Extended Mag: +30 Magazine and -20 Reload Speed
- Appended Mag: +20 Magazine
PvE Perk Slot 3
Any three of these perks in the third slot will be great to have. My personal choice would be Rapid Hit.
- Feeding Frenzy: Each rapid kill with this weapon progressively increases reload speed for a short time
- Rapid Hit: Rapid precision hits temporarily increase stability and reload speed
- Threat Detector: Increased reload, stability, and handling when enemies are in close proximity
PvE Perk Slot 4
The final PvE perk will depend on how you want to use your Sidearm. Rampage should pair well with Rapid Hit, allowing for increased damage output as well as quick reloads.
- Rampage: Kills with this weapon temporarily grant increased damage. Stacks 3x
- One For All: Hitting three separate targets increases damage for a moderate duration
- Dragonfly: Precision kills create an elemental damage explosion
- Frenzy: Being in combat for an extended time increases damage, handling, and reload speed for this weapon until you are out of combat
Brass Attacks God Roll – PvP
I have never been great at using Sidearms in PvP and I do not see that changing anytime soon. Brass Attacks is a viable weapon to keep at your side if you choose to do so with your PvP loadout. Here are the recommended PvP perks:
PvP Perk Slot 1
Putting space in between you and your opponent will be your best option. Look out for perks that increase Range.
- Hammer-Forged Rifling: +10 Range
- Polygonal Rifling: +10 Stability
- Smallbore: +7 Range and +7 Stability
- Chambered Compensator: +10 Stability, +10 Recoil, and -5 Handling
- Extended Barrel: +10 Range, +10 Recoil, and -10 Handling
PvP Perk Slot 2
Two perks are all you are looking for in the second slot. I would go with Ricochet Rounds over High-Caliber Rounds.
- High-Caliber Rounds: +5 Range
- Ricochet Rounds: +5 Range and +10 Stability
PvP Perk Slot 3
The third perk depends on delivering a single final blow.
- Feeding Frenzy: Each rapid kill with this weapon progressively increases reload speed for a short time
- Rapid Hit: Rapid precision hits temporarily increase stability and reload speed
- Killing Wind: Final blows grant increased mobility, weapon range, and handling for a short duration
PvP Perk Slot 4
Getting your abilities back quicker will give you the advantage against other Guardians. Wellspring is your go-to perk here.
- Rampage: Kills with this weapon temporarily grant increased damage. Stacks 3x
- Wellspring: Kills with this weapon generate ability energy. This energy is divided between your uncharged abilities
Once you finally have the roll you want, Brass Attacks may not leave your side. Thanks to light.gg for all listed perks available for Brass Attacks. Be sure to check out the Extraordinary Rendition god roll guide and more in our Destiny 2 archives.
