In Cyberpunk 2077, there is a quirky weapon that players can obtain in Night City named Skippy. Skippy is a smart pistol that talks to the player during use. Skippy also boasts decent stats and comes in Epic/Iconic rarity. Skippy scales to the user’s level, making it a worthy find no matter when you acquire it in the game. This guide will cover where to find Skippy in Cyberpunk 2077 and what you need to know about this unique spart pistol.
Cyberpunk 2077 – Skippy Location
Skippy the smart pistol can be found on an unassuming corpse in an alleyway in Vista Del Rey, Heywood District. The closest Fast Travel station is at College St., indicated on the map screenshot below.

From the College St. Fast Travel station, head south and turn right at the first intersection, following the nearby Side Job marker. Continue until you find an alleyway on the side that has metal fencing with an opening big enough to climb over.

Skippy will be found beside a corpse lying between the dumpsters. Upon acquiring Skippy, players will be prompted to choose between two firing modes, Puppy-Loving Pacifist (limbs only) and Stone Cold Killer (headshots only).

It’s worth noting that Skippy is such a smart weapon that it will sometimes take matters into its own hands, so to speak. Examples of this include firing at enemies randomly without input from the player and missing shots intentionally.

After several in-game days have passed and you have achieved 50 kills, Skippy will change firing modes depending on the player’s initial mode choice. Skippy will then ask to be returned to Regina Jones, initiating the Machine Gun side job. Once you give Skippy back to Regina, she will reset Skippy and rename it. At this point, you can choose to keep the gun or sell it for Eddies.
