Patch 1.3 is now available for Cyberpunk 2077, bringing the first batch of free content to the game along with a slew of balance adjustments, bug fixes, and gameplay improvements. Included in the first DLC is the Archer Quartz “Bandit,” a brand new car that is available for free to all players. Read on to find out how to obtain this new car for yourself in Cyberpunk 2077.
How to Get the Archer Quartz Bandit
The limited-edition Archer Quartz “Bandit” is a vibrant orange sports car that released for free in the game alongside Patch 1.3. To obtain the Quartz Bandit, players must first complete the Ghost Town main job in Cyberpunk 2077. Ghost Town is also the first job in Panam Palmer’s questline.
Ghost Town becomes available following the Playing for Time main story mission. Head to the Afterlife to talk to Rogue and kick off the Ghost Town quest once it’s available. Continue through the quest and help Panam in Rocky Ridge. Wait a few days after completing the quest and you should receive a message about your new ride.
There are two ways to get the Archer Quartz Bandit car, depending on how things go down at the end of the Ghost Town quest.
- If you agree to go after Nash: After a few days, you will receive a message from Dakota Smith, who will offer to sell you the Quartz Bandit for $69,000. You can purchase and obtain the car from her garage in Rocky Ridge.
- If you do not agree to go after Nash: You will receive a message from Rogue a few days after completing Ghost Town. She will give you the Quartz Bandit as a free reward.
Basically, once the Ghost Town job is complete, expect a message from either Rogue or Dakota within the next few days regarding the Quartz Bandit. Players who have already completed Ghost Town prior to the update will still need to wait several days before receiving a message about the car. You can skip time within the game menu to speed things up a bit. We skipped ahead about four days before receiving a message from Dakota.
Those expecting a message from Dakota should make sure to be within the Badlands region to receive the text. Once you get her message, you can find and purchase the Quartz Bandit outside the DaKota garage in the Badlands, just east of the Sunset Motel.
It seems that the only way to get the Archer Quartz Bandit for free is by declining Panam’s offer to go after Nash. However, doing so can have negative consequences, particularly for those looking to successfully romance Panam.
