It seems just about every game in the world is either coming to the Nintendo Switch, or people want it to. Hell, even The Witcher 3 is headed to the Nintendo Switch, and people have serious doubts about whether that will run well at all. As for upcoming games, perhaps the biggest question people have is whether Borderlands 3 will release on the Nintendo Switch.
Will Borderlands 3 Release on Nintendo Switch?
Borderlands 3 will not release on the Nintendo Switch. At least, Borderlands 3 will not be coming to the Nintendo Switch at launch. Nobody really knows what will happen in a few years. After all, our point about The Witcher 3 stands.
I do not see that as happening. We were talking to Nintendo, but that stopped for some reason. They have other priorities.

In fact, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford stated on Twitter that he didn’t see Borderlands 3 coming to the Nintendo Switch, but it wasn’t for technical reasons. Pitchford mentioned that they were talking about it with Nintendo, but that stopped for whatever reason. Seems like the interest is there, so perhaps down the line, Nintendo Switch owners will be treated to some Borderlands 3. We wouldn’t suggest that you hold your breath, though.
While Borderlands 3 isn’t coming to the Nintendo Switch at launch, it is releasing on plenty of other big gaming platforms. Players will be able to find it on Google Stadia, PC as an Epic Games Store exclusive, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Most gamers will have one of those platforms, but the Nintendo Switch is more about accessibility. Plenty of folks who commute daily, or travel frequently for work, would love to see a title like Borderlands 3 release on the Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, it isn’t going to be happening as things stand right now. You never know what the future holds, except if you’re expecting Borderlands 3 on Nintendo Switch when it releases on September 13, 2019. The future doesn’t hold that.
