If there's something strange in your neighborhood, who you gonna call? Vault Hunters!

Borderlands 3 has gotten downright spooky with the Bloody Harvest event. A dinosaur named Maurice has arrived on Sanctuary. He wants your help to figure out why lots of ghosts have started to appear in the game. As part of the event, you will need to search the galaxy for a ghost. In this guide, we will show you how.

How to Search the Galaxy for a Ghost

Make sure you have spoken to Maurice on Sanctuary to start the event, then prepare to search the galaxy for a ghost. Maurice wants you to find a ghost that he can study. The good news is that you can find a ghost anywhere in the game. Part of the event means that special Haunted enemies are spawning all over the place, and finding one is very easy. Just go to any area that will be filled with enemies, and you will find them spawning in there.

Haunted enemies will have a glowing, wispy light around them, almost like colored smoke. Most of them will have either green or red energy. They are very easy to spot, so just focus them down in fights. When you kill one, a ghost will escape their body. It will take a moment to form, but then a skull will chase after you. You will need to kill the skull, and it will drop some Hecktoplasm. You will need to collect 25 of these for Maurice, so kill every Haunted enemy you see. They don’t stick around for long, so be sure to kill the skulls quickly after they form.

I like to farm for these just outside the Mouthpiece’s hideout on Pandora. It is easy to get to, has loads of enemy spawns, and will provide you with all the Hecktoplasm you need. This area will make your task to search the galaxy for a ghost fairly trivial.

Once you have all 25 Hecktoplasms collected, return to Maurice, who will tell you the next part of your mission! As a little hint, it involves a journey to Heck. Good luck, Vault Hunter!
